Subtle hypointensity is seen in right MCA territory on T1, with increased signal on T2 and FLAIR. DWI (Diffusion) B=1000 shows the brightest signal in the right MCA territory confirming the cytotoxic enema due to Hyperacute infarct. This infract is measure on time early Hyperacute: 0 to 6 hours. late Hyperacute: 6 to 24 hours.
2) Acute infract
Also called ischemic stroke, a cerebral
infarction occurs as a result of disrupted blood flow to the brain due to
problems with the blood vessels that supply it. Acute infract measure on time 24
hours to 1 week.
3) Subacute
infract
Subacute infract is more than 1 to
3 weeks.
4) chronic infract or (Gliosis)
Gliosis tends to become histologically
evident two to three weeks following an injury to the brain
This four
types of infract is also called as a stroke caused by a blockage in a blood
vessel in the brain. The maximum comman sort of stroke.
Symptoms:- Symptoms of stroke include trouble walking, speaking and
understanding, as well as paralysis or numbness of the face, arm or leg.
