Types of MRI. How many types of MRI? Types of mri, open mri, closed mri and standing MRI

What is MRI?

MRI magnetic resonance imaging is used in radiology department. To look for pichare of anatomical and physiological process of the body. Mri scanner use strong magnetic field and gradient and radio waves to generate images of the organ in the body.

Types of MRI machines?

There are three types of machine.

1.      open MRI machine.
2.      Closed MRI machine.
3.      Sitting and standing MRI machin

Types of mri, open mri, closed mri and standing MRI
Types of MRI open mri, closed mri, and standing MRI.

  •   Open MRI machine.

In an effort to allow claustrophobic patients more comfort and to allow obese patients to be scanned the open MRI was devloped. Older open type scanners did not produce very  good quality image’s due to a reduced number of magnets.  The new machine come very close to matching those see  in a closed MRI. These still require a patient to sleep supine, but do not completely enclose the patient.

  • Closed MRI machine.

A close MRI machine is a large tube. That a patient lays in This style of scanner almost always produces image that are of very high quality. Patient comfort in these machine is sometimes a problem. The small tube (bore) that a patient must lay in can cause a patient who is claustrophobic to panic. The MRI machine requires  patient to lie very still someone who is moving around can make scanning almost impossible. The small opening size of some closed MRI machine means that overweight patient’s simply cannot be scanned.

  • Standing or sitting MRI

comfort is a very important of patients care। This desire to increase comfort led to the development of MRI machines that allow patients to stand or sit . while this machine with patient comfort they currently don’t provide a good image quality।. In future tease machine may be improve in quality. Which will make them much more Beneficial.
