MRI Deficography
Mr Deficography also
known as MRI of the pelvic floor, rectum and spincher is an imaging exam that doctor
use to look at problems in the stracture of the pelvic floor or problems with
how these muscles are working when you move your bowels.
MR Defecography is done in MRI machine.
Why should do MR Defecography?
The purpose of
the test is to give your health care provider more information about how things
are working when you poop, in order to diagnose and treat your problem.
How your pelvic floor muscular tissues contract and loosen
up.
How your anus functions whilst poop is gift.
How your colon, rectum, vagina and bladder move when your
pooping.
If any of your internal organs out of vicinity.
What need to be addressed in a planned surgery.
When should do this test?
Symptoms:-
Anal pain.
Constipation (difficulty pooping) 💩
Fecal incontinence (uncontrolled pooping)
Incomplete evacuation (the feeling that you didn’t poop
everything out)
They many also use the test to help diagnose a suspected
condition, such as:-
Pelvic floor dysfunction:- a failure of the muscles and nerves
in the pelvic floor to coordinate an move properly when your poop.
Organ prolapse:- when the wall of one of your organ has
weakened enough to fall Out of place, or one organ bulging in to another organ.
Types include rectal prolapse (when the rectum slips out of the anus) rectocele
( when the rectum bulging’s into the vagina ) and enterocele ( when the small intestine
bulge in to the rectum).
How prepare for Mr Defecography?
Before do the procedure
your stomach empty minimum 6 HR. The day before you eat Food that are to easiest
to digest. Likely Wight rice banana etc.…. The day of the examination your bowel are fully
washout. (Stool washout)
There are any risk with Mr Defecography?
There are no risk associated
with Mr Defecography. Some patients are discomfort when the gel is inserted in the
rectum.
